Privacy Policy

Effective date: 30 July 2026

1. Who we are

This website, mykonosbest.eu (the "Site"), is operated by PROMO GREECE ("we", "us", "our"), based in Greece. PROMO GREECE is the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through the Site, within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the "GDPR").

You can contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected] or by post at Old Port, Mykonos, Greece, PO Box 174.

2. What data we collect and why

  • Contact data. When you contact us by email, phone or through the contact form, we receive the details you provide (such as your name, email address and message). We use them only to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Usage data (analytics). With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type). IP addresses are anonymised. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
  • Technical logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, requested page, time) for security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the Site secure and available (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell personal data.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

When you first visit the Site we ask for your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept. You can change your choice at any time:

4. Google Analytics

Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States; such transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. We have enabled IP anonymisation. If you decline or withdraw consent, no Google Analytics cookies are set and existing ones are removed. You can additionally use Google's browser opt-out add-on.

5. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the Site (hosting and infrastructure providers, and Google as described above), under data processing agreements, and with authorities where the law requires it. The Site links to websites of the businesses we feature; those sites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

6. How long we keep data

Enquiry correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law. Analytics data is retained according to the Google Analytics retention settings (maximum 14 months). Server logs are kept for a short rolling period.

  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time (for analytics, via Cookie Settings), without affecting processing before withdrawal.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new features. The current version, with its effective date, will always be published on this page.
